One more video from the 2013 LP, Trap Lord.

*Sigh*… I was really rooting for this dude. Loved The Documentary, loved the (ironically titled) Doctor’s Advocate. Both albums had superior production and solid lyrics, despite the man’s penchant for name-dropping. Whether or not this dude is a studio gangster or an ex-Change Of Heart contestant, I could give a fuck – just like I could give a fuck whether or not Rick Ross ever *really* sold crack. At the end of the day, it doesn’t make a difference, Game’s made some great music.

But I can’t get over the actions Game takes in the media, time and again. His Stop Snitchin’, Stop Lyin’ DVD gave the first look into his obsession with 50 Cent, as he created awkward moments for himself, staring into the camera talking directly to 50 or asking people on the street if they had seen 50 Cent around. The climax of the DVD came with Game breaking into 50′s backyard and stealing his basketball rim. This actually caused the DVD to be pulled off shelves because it showed the rapper involved in an illegal act for which apparently there was a court case attached. Nice one, Fif.

Don’t get me wrong, 50 can be a punk as well. I don’t think I need to go into details here, just google “50 Cent beef” and you can see the lengths he has gone to crush his enemies, usually timed with whenever he’s about to drop a new album.

But Game’s latest stunt in this ancient, over-with saga was to use his interview time with MTV to… what else … talk about 50 Cent. In the above clip, Game compares the original G-Unit/Shady/Aftermath line-up to The Beatles saying that Jimmy Iovine said they should never have broken up and that all of the members haven’t had the same magical chemistry since. He then goes on to apologize to 50 about *everything* that has gone on over the years, and continues to reiterate how dope it was when everything was good. There’s also some strange extended metaphor in there about leaving his luggage at the airport. Or some shit.

Okay, we agree G-Unit should have never broken up, Game was hot on Aftermath, 50 hasn’t released a classic album since Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, and never a single hotter than “In Da Club”. Doesn’t matter though, 50′s rich.

The problem with this video is that Game looks like a desperate fool, trying to get the band back together for one last tour, so to speak. The obvious difference here is that 50, Dr. Dre, and Eminem don’t need Game anymore, but Game needs them tremendously, and this video screams it. Just watching him sitting in the chair, breaking down the situation with such poise, it’s hard to take anything he says seriously with that L.A. tattoo next to his eye winking at you all the time. You’re waiting for him to break down and get on his hands and knees at any given second.

In perhaps the greatest post-violence interview since Rodney King’s “Can’t We All Just Get Along” speech, teary-eyed scumbag de jour, Perez Hilton speaks from bed, with tissues and emotional chocolate box off camera. Perez explains his side of the story in the recent altercation he had with hardcore gangster rap group, Black Eyed Peas, whose hit singles “(Our Guns Go) Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling (Somebody’s Got To Die)” have been heating up the charts recently. If you aren’t up to speed, apparently at the Much Music Awards in Toronto, Fergie approached Perez asking him why they were being dissed on his website (you mean she really doesn’t know?), which allegedly unfolded into an altercation leading to Perez being punched in the face by BEP’s manager.

Will has calmly offered his side of the story as well, via YouTube, however Perez’s rant rivals that of  Chris Croker’s “Leave Britney Alone” speech, easily taking the cake. Complete with an emotional breakdown at the end, Perez spews out inspirational quotes like “Violence is never the answer! That’s why people die!”, and “I am a human being and no one deserves to be treated that way!” and  “God is looking down on you and shaming you!”. Check the video above for a blow-by-blow account of the situation, as every word uttered by Perez is enunciated perfectly, lending to the severity of the situation. This is the stuff of legend, kids.

Whatever the story really is, will.i.am pretty much just PM Dawn’ed his ass. Congratulations, will, The Black Eyed Peas will now be considered hip-hop from here on out. - DJ Pizzo

It seems that Sean Price, fed up with how things have been run at Duck Down Records, has ousted each Dru Ha, No Ha, and Buckshot, and has taken over the label, renaming it Ruck Down Records. Said Ruck, “The black man is in charge. If you’re not down with Ruck, Ruck ain’t down with you.”
