The Warning will be released on 11-6-2012 and it marks the debut album from producer JP Beats whose past works include tracks with Dr. Dre, Jadakiss, Pete Rock, Kurupt, Canibus, and many more. JP Beats has teamed up with A&R Extraordinaire M-Eighty (Wu-Tang /Undergods/ Kurupt/Planet Asia etc) to bring fans the same level of lyrical intensity and diverse line-ups they have come to expect from “Wu-Tang Meets…” & “The Academy” backed with soundscapes of production impresario JP Beats.

The Warning features 16-tracks and all brand new collaborations from the likes of Busta Rhymes, T.I., Young Buck, George Clinton, Royce the 5’9”, Kurupt, Sean Price, Boots Riley (The Coup), Canibus, Planet Asia, Tragedy Khadafi, Cappadonna, and many more. The Warning will be released on November 6th on both physical and digital formats via D.R.E / Holy Toledo Productions.

Duck Down released the following statement today, in regards to Rock’s recent attempted murder rap:

Rock from the acclaimed group Heltah Skeltah has been found not guilty in an attempted murder case stemming from a shooting incident that left a pimp paralyzed.

“Exhale for Rock & congratulations to his attorney Kenneth Montgomery (ken@kjmontgomerylaw.com) for the NOT GUILTY VERDICT! Incredible job,” Dru Ha said via Twitter.

Rock was accused of being a moonlighting as a pimp at night and shooting a rival in January of 2008. He was eventually released on $125,000 bail and proclaimed his innocent in the alleged shooting, assault and the assertion that he is a pimp.

Despite the legal matters, Rock refused to sensationalize the case and released D.I.R.T. (Da Incredible Rap Team) with Heltah Skeltah rap partner Sean “Ruck” Price later in 2008.

Rock was party to a recent celebration of Duck Down’s 15th Anniversary on Tuesday at BB King’s Club in New York.

Duck Down Music is celebrating its 15 Year Anniversary with a commemorative album that pays homage to what the fans voted to be the strongest record from each of the 15 years. There are two bonus tracks from 1993 & 1994 to offer tribute to Black Moon’s hit record “Who Got The Props,” and Smif N Wessun’s classic “Sound Bwoy Burial.” An exclusive track was recorded for the year 2010 called “Better Than You” featuring Buckshot, Skyzoo, Promise & Sean Price, produced by Double-O of Kidz In The Hall.

A timeline poster was created to unveil the official track listing which showcases key imagery associated with each song.

An NYC album release show is scheduled at BB KINGS on July 13th featuring performances by Pharoahe Monch, Sean Price, Buckshot, Smif N Wessun, Kidz In The Hall, Skyzoo, Marco Polo, Torae, Ruste Juxx & plenty of special guests. We had to dig this one up. This disastrous freestyle session isn’t quite a battle, but goes crazily awry when an over-excited Freaky Tah “goes in” live on Tim Westwood’s show. It begins with Spigg Nice doing his thing, only to be over powered by his pal Tah (R.I.P.). Heltah Skeltah try to salvage the thing, but then Tah comes in again spitting on the mic over Ruck and Rock’s rhymes. The thing becomes such a mess, you can envision the program director losing his mind. Suddenly, mics are faded out before the station begins “experiencing technical difficulties”.
