Today, enjoy the first music video from the album for the song “First Step.” Directed by Jay Brown, the video follows all three members on their individual travels who later come together to form as one. Both the video and song showcase the diversity in styles and approach but with a similar message and outcome, which is characteristic of the group as a whole. “First Step” was produced by Oddisee, who produces the entire upcoming album.”

About “Tangible Dream”:

These rhymes were written in economy class seats, these beats were produced on long bus trips & these songs were recorded in airbnb apartments. All I want to do is make music for a living so that I can live to make music. The only dreams I’m interested in are the ones I can grasp. It just so happens that anything you want bad enough can be obtained. Perhaps the world may never know of my accomplishments but accomplishments they are nonetheless.

Today, Oddisee drops a video from his “The Beauty in All” album for the song “Caprice Down.” The video was directed by Jeremy Ian Thomas and features a skate crew called “Hammer City” who live in Long Beach, California.

The crew’s founder was a skater named Michael Green A.K.A. Blacc. Mike was gunned down in 2005 over a case of mistaken identity and the skaters in the video are three members from Hammer City: Juice, E.C., and ManMan (Blacc Mike’s brother). Amongst the gang violence and drugs that has plagued the neighborhood surrounding 14th St. in Long Beach, the skaters found refuge in a park they dubbed “Ghetto Park” which later became known as “The Michael K. Green Skate Park.”

From Oddisee’s Tangible Dream mixtape, today comes the first music video for the song “Own Appeal.”

The video first dives into Oddisee’s writing and production process, heavily influenced by his travels around the world while adapting to each particular situation to fit his needs and creativity. It’s a theme that is present in most of Oddisee’s releases, including both his full length instrumental album The Beauty in All and the mixtape released alongside it, Tangible Dream.

Point proven, Oddisee continues his travels and is currently on a worldwide tour around the globe, currently in New Zealand and finishing up in the UK/EU in the beginning of December.
