Oooo, this is rich. Jae Millz released a huge barrage of insults towards XXL’s Freshmen 10 List on True Stories Radio on Monday, suggesting that many of the artists picked for the list were “wack”, among other disparaging remarks. His main beef centered around the fact that his friend Vado was not selected for the list.
This prompted responses from freshmen J. Cole and Nipsy Hu$$le. Cole argued that everyman is entitled to their opinion, not really giving much credibility to the claims made by Millz. Nipsey on the other hand spoke openly via Twitter, suggesting “Niggaz got they pantys in a bunch over that xxl cover…and 4 tha record if u been rappin 10 years and ain’t drop yet…it’s over”.
Last night the entire XXL Freshmen team performed at the Highline Ballroom in NYC. For whatever reason, Cam’ron and Vado took to the stage at the show, as seen above. Why these guys were even performing at a show that is spotlighting up and comers is beyond us, but reeks of sour grapes. Evidently Millz was to perform with them at the show, but got arrested in New Jersey before he could even make it out.
Given the amount of negativity spewed from Jae Millz’s mouth prior to the show, his arrest may have actually prevented some stupid shit from going down. Too bad you fucked up, dummy.
