Hot on the heels of his single on DJ Honda’s label, Black Attack returns with a very dope record. “My Word” brings it back to the Correct days, as Black attack’s a wonderfully conconcted track from Sean Cane (Sean C). With it’s almost midevil feel to it, the track’s guitar lick, wandering horns, and very subtle, silenced, and sampled background vocalist crooning over the instruments, it becomes very adddictive. The chemistry between Sean Boston and the track is amazing, and becomes something even greater when the Beatnuts formerly known as Kool Fashion, Al Tariq, provides the hook, meshing with a perfectly inserted Nas scratch. “What The Fuck” is a Missin Linx reunion, as Black Attack, Al Tariq, and Problemz share a very chaotic symphony of chants, violins, and violence. Hot, hot, hot.
