Mos Def gave the S.O.B.’s audience a taste of some new music with J. Dilla and Madlib behind the boards.

They perform “Astronomy (8th Light)” in the above clip. They also performed a *new* track called “Fix Up”, but the Viacom internet police have already removed those clips from YouTube. New album soon, gentlemen?

Mos talks about getting the call to join the show.

Looks like this years Rock The Bells festival has a lot to offer, as many classic groups will be performing their classic albums in full, at select dates in San Bernardino, Mountain View, Boston, and New York. Mos Def and Kanye West surprised the audience at NYC’s Blue Note Jazz Club on Feb. 26th, by offering a surprise performance alongside the Robert Glasper Experiment. Audio below.
