Coming from the U.K. production team’s forthcoming album, The Creators bring their first star-studded single. Mos Def & Talib Kweli bring “The Hard Margin”, sporting deep, low-end production of which Mos and Kweli mesh with perfectly. Given its spaced out vibe, this one may go over the heads of some, but those willing to take a deeper listen will really appreciate the quality. Formerly known as Street Smartz, the now solo F.T. (Fuc That), shoots his breathless flow over some choppy horns on “No Love”, but don’t expect to hear him on beats like this for to much longer, now that he’s singed to a major label. Overall, this is an excellent single.
