Legendary hip-hop and punk rock pioneer, Malcolm McLaren, whom worked extensively with the World Famous Supreme Team, responsible for such hits as “Buffalo Gals”, “D’Ya Like Scratchin’”, “Hey DJ”, “World’s Famous”, and other tracks, passed away today at the age of 64. McLaren, who also served as manager to the Sex Pistols, had been battling cancer for some time. According to his manager Les Molloy, while he showed some signs of recovering, he began to see a rapid deterioration in his health towards the end. McClaren will be buried in London’s Highgate Cemetery. [Source: Billboard]
