Of course, Cypress Hill is not the only group with an album dropping on today 4/20, there’s also Little Brother’s Leftback, Kurupt’s Streetlights, Devin The Dude’s Do Not Distherb (Suite 420), and Truthlive’s Patience, also each in stores now. But Cypress Hill is the only one of these groups that is dropping multiple, confusing alternate versions of their album with several different retailers, so we’re going to break it down for you what is out there.

AmazonMP3 Version – $9.99: This is by far the best deal out there, which gets you the digital album, plus one exclusive bonus track, “Rise Like Smoke”, along with bonus videos for “Rise Up” and “It Ain’t Nothin” plus digital booklet.

Itunes Deluxe Edition – $11.99: This is basically the same deal as the AmazonMP3 version, although the bonus track is different, and it’s called “Dead Man’s Gun”, and it’s two dollars more. Also includes the same bonus videos for “Rise Up” and “It Ain’t Nothin” plus digital booklet.

Newbury Comics Autographed CD – $16.99: If you don’t care about bonus tracks, simply must have a tangible CD, or think there might be some Ebay value in this later, grab the exclusive autographed version at Boston’s Newbury Comics.

Amazon Vinyl + CD Combo – $20.42: Nowadays, record labels are giving you more bang for your buck if you choose to buy their products rather than steal them. Case in point is the vinyl for “Rise Up”, which also comes packaged with a copy of the album on CD. They can do this? We’d been buying them separately for years.

But what about the other rumored bonus tracks, “Strike The Match” and “Get Higher”? While Wikipedia lists them as bonus tracks for a “Deluxe Edition”, we’ve searched high and blunted, and haven’t found anything anywhere. We didn’t bother checking Wal-Mart.Com – they could be there actually – Sam Walton and company have always been down to blaze a 50.
