Rolling Stone reports that Jay-Z will team with ex-Source scribe Dream Hampton for Decoded, a sort of mash-up memoir, mixed with interviews with family and friends, as well as breakdowns of some of his most famous verses. The book has actually been complete for three years, which chronicles his early life and rise to fame. Although it is still unclear if it will touch upon the last three years of his life, which includes his marriage to Beyonce. (The hilarious Photoshop job above image is not the cover, by the way).

“It’s too much. For the book, I was interviewed, people close to me were interviewed. So I was learning a lot of things I didn’t know as a child,” Jay-Z told Rolling Stone. “It’s not anything I haven’t said in the past, in songs. It’s just more detailed. A song is three minutes long. A book doesn’t have to rhyme, and it has no time limit, so you can say exactly how everything went.”

The book is 336 pages and is due November 16th. Let’s help him outsell George W. Bush’s Decision Points memoir due a week before.
