Grammy award winning producer 9th Wonder is set to release 9th Wonder Presents: Big Remo Entrapment on September 28th. The release is the first from 9th’s newly launched It’s A Wonderful World Music Group/Jamla.
With a history for introducing new MC’s to the world, 9th explains Big Remo’s sound, and what fans can expect from the North Carolina MC and his debut album.
“Entrapment is a play on words, running from the “trap”. Big Remo embodies that and has his own view of the South. His point of view is somebody who has lived a certain lifestyle, and is trying to make a way to get out of that lifestyle, while still reflecting on it. As you get closer to the end of the album, you can can start to see the change that I’m talking about,” says 9th Wonder. “Even with change there is a gradual process, which the soundscapes he chooses gives him the chance to show that process. Truth be told, there are a lot of cats like him who live in the south, Big Remo is their voice….. enter “Entrapment.”
