After getting out the gates with their debut leak “Paris”, the Hood Samaritan crew, comprised of emcees Kyle Rapps & Y-Love and producer/deejay Diwon, are back for round two in their promo campaign for their forthcoming FreEP, Honey Dijon. This time around, the prolific Blockhead lends a hand to the samaritan movement with “Rise Up”, an uplifting opus of boom-bap drums and moving strings that compliment their positive, yet sincere rhymes. “Stay fly, the price of low-living is way high/ I’m all about giving but don’t take mine/ we can build together watch the cake rise.”
