SoulFunk and Big G (Founders of SoulSubstance) are two childhood friends who grew apart and reunited after going their separate ways, one went the way of the streets and the other went the way of helping others. Both were tough roads, given that while Big G finished school and worked endless jobs, he quietly studied music and developed an ill beat making formula, all that we needed to add were some authentic stories, which neither artist holds back on. So we issued a full range of vocal tracks over blues/jazz/soul/rock inspired instrumentals, something like a perfect, but completely unpredictable array of top choice instruments, samples n synth, smothered in Big G’s signature hard and punishing drums. All this coming to you from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. No holds barred beats and rhymes is what we’re about here. The uncut raw!
