For fans of our house/EDM sister site, WeAllHitPlay.Com, Daft Punk news exploded over the weekend, including a new preview of their track with Pharrell, “Get Lucky”. But there’s something more interesting worth reporting over here for the hip-hop heads, that being that Kanye has reportedly recorded at least two tracks with the Daft duo, which may or may not appear on his next album, Rolling Stone has discovered.

“It was very raw: he was rapping – kind of screaming primally, actually,” said Thomas Bangalter. “Kanye doesn’t give a fuck,” Guy-Manuel, the other half of Daft Punk, added. “He’s a good friend.” Director Michel Gondry also spoke on the collaboration between Kanye and Daft Punk, after hearing the two tracks. “One of them, I told him it sounded solid and powerful – I envisioned a cube when I heard it. He told me, Chris Cunningham’s already directing the video!”

As we were first to break the “I Am (a) God” rumor some months ago, here’s another nugget regarding Kanye’s next LP. Stay tuned for more news, as it develops.
