AraabMUZIK is set to release his next album, The Remixes, Vol. 1, on July 9th via Ultra Music. With an overwhelming response to his last mixtape For Professional Use Only and a tour to support it, The Remixes, Vol. 1 is a brand new compilation of AraabMUZIK remixes of Ultra Records’ artists plus two original AraabMUZIK tracks. His 2011 release, Electronic Dream, brought AraabMUZIK to the forefront of DJ / producer culture, earning Best New Music from Pitchfork and solidifying his stature in both the EDM and hip-hop worlds. His YouTube videos showcasing his inconceivable MPC skills have become iconic in their own right. To further outline that notion, VICE’s new electronic music channel, Thump will be presenting a five part comedy web-isode series featuring AraabMUZIK. In the mean time you can listen to two tracks off The Remixes, Vol.1, Mt Eden’s “Sierra Leone” feat. Freshly Ground (AraabMUZIK Remix) and the instrumental version of “Keep in Motion” feat. Chase N Cashe below.
Calling AraabMUZIK the MVP of the MPC is putting it lightly when it comes to his skills. Hailing from Providence, RI, AraabMUZIK is one of very few artists who has seamlessly made his way into both the electronic dance music and hip-hop worlds. He was discovered and cosigned by hip-hop icon Duke Da God, lending his production abilities to the likes of Cam’Ron, Hell Rell, Busta Rhymes, Fabulous, Jadakiss and Eminem. With the budding popularity of his YouTube videos AraaMUZIK started playing live, becoming one of the most captivating artists around.
