A pitch-perfect blend of glowering, boomy beats, fluttering synths, and SZA’s luxuriant tones, the St. Louis-born singer messes with R&B and serves it up fresh. So it came as no surprise when Top Dawg Entertainment (Kendrick Lemar, Schoolboy Q) snapped her up. “Ice Moon” is lifted from ‘S,’ and its accompanying video is, much like SZA herself, rooted in reality but magic at the same time.
