Rapper Iamsu! opens up about his line in Sage the Gemini’s Gas Pedal, where he rhymes, “She a trick for a dollar bill/And her boyfriend a b*tch call him Tyler Perry/Eugh, I’m in a black bat lookin’ scary.” He reveals that he was speaking about Tyler’s “Madea” character, but doesn’t believe that he was taking direct shots at the actor.

When asked about not being cast in any Tyler Perry movies because of the line, Iamsu! says “I can’t support no men in dresses [sic],” but admits that he thought Kanye West’s kilt, sometimes labeled as a skirt, looked “clean” to him.
