M-Dot: “Nowadays it’s rare you see Hip-Hop pioneer, Wu-Tang legend Method Man appearing on features. Nevertheless, ten seconds in, that’s exactly what the uplifting and triumphant single “Shine” brings front and center. California based Film/TV score composer Soulplusmind lays the backdrop melody for Tical, Dominique Larue (Columbus, OH) and M-Dot (Boston, MA) to articulate their lexicon, simultaneously showcasing an angst for hip hop that offers substance, alongside New York vocalist Katy Gunn providing the hook.
“Shine” is the lead single taken from underground staple and Beantown’s multi-award winning lyricist M-Dot’s two part debut album “Ego and the Enemy” (out in 2015). The LP’s will feature production by Hi-Tek, Marley Marl, M-Phazes, Marco Polo, 7L and MANY more surprise industry respected beat-smiths.”
