We didn’t forget Army of The Pharaohs in yesterday’s “Where Is The Best Place To Buy Erykah, E-40, Wu, and Usher” article. The point of that article was to compare and contrast different bonus track variations on those four albums being offered at various retailers, and to provide you with the information on how to [cont.]

Perhaps one of the most legendary rap battles in hip-hop history, Hieroglyphics faced off against the Hobo Junction on The Wake Up Show on November 18th, 1994. Legend has it that the beef apparently started because after Casual had Saafir appear on his Fear Itself debut, Casual was supposed to return the favor and make [cont.]

New unreleased joint from Snoop and Kelly. Not sure if this was a leftover track from Snoop’s Malice In Wonderland album or something else. Snoop Dogg + R. Kelly – “Move Them Ropes’” (MP3)

Something new, well kind of. This track surfaced about a year ago but was missing about 45 seconds of vocals from 4-Ize.  Former DTP label mate Bobby Valentino and 4-Ize along on this one.  This track never had a chance to make it to the Battle Of The Sexes album because of sample clearance issues.  [cont.]

Apparently, the story behind this track was that Biggie recorded his verse (not originally on this J. Dilla beat), and Busta and Nas were to join him. But because Biggie was apparently going at 2Pac in the verse, the song was never finished, as Busta did not want to get involved. Later in 2002, the [cont.]

Big up to EDAN for discovering this. Kool Keith and Ced Gee rhyme about the NBA Allstars of 1989, with the funky drummer drummin’. Fresh on so many levels.

As far as the above photo is concerned, that’s another story…. Here goes some old Kid Cudi action you might recognize from the early days of his career…. CD quality, no deejay drops…. Kid Cudi – “Know Why (The Message)” (MP3)

Some things are better left on the cutting room floor, huh? Here are two collaborations of Ludacris with white people. Good Charlotte we get, but Criss Angel escapes us. He makes music, too? There’s no end to his range of talents. Ludacris  + Good Charlotte – “Start All Over” Ludacris + Criss Angel – “Mindfreak”

This has been sitting in the cassette archives for a while now, but we’ve finally moved over to digital format for your consumption. This was recorded on KUNV’s legendary Word Up Show in 1997, when Hieroglyphics came through and demonstrated the art of freestyling. On the wheels are HHS founders Warren Peace and DJ Pizzo, [cont.]

Lupe @ HipHopSite in 2004 w/ DJ Pizzo & Andreas Hale Here goes a newly discovered leftover from Lupe Fiasco’s debut album finding the Chi-town record riding on top a west-coast influenced track – sounding perhaps like something produced by Jellyroll – even the hook suggests hanging out the side of a Chevy Impala. A Carter IV leak perhaps? Actually, a leftover from Tha Carter III, pairing up monster emcees Lil Wayne and Ludacris, which ended up being deleted off the final tracklist. Perhaps it was the fact that they got two of the nicest emcees in the south together and stuck them with a murky, sleepy beat. Or [cont.]
