With Consequence’s Movies On Demand mixtape dropping earlier today, the next mixtape causing backpack fever will be Asher Roth’s Seared Foie Gras w/ Quince & Cranberry, which we reported on here a few weeks back. The first leak off the mix is “Hot Wangs” – a takeoff of Talib Kweli’s “Hot Thing” – showing vast improvement from the Ashman since his LP release. The new mixtape will include high-profile collaborations with Madlb, Timbaland, Kanye West, 9th Wonder, J. Dilla, Jake One, Pharrell, RZA, Just Blaze, and others – however make note, “Hot Wangs” says “served by will.i.am” on the tracklist – and it’s a freestyle, so there’s bound to be some reused beats.
