According to a report by Billboard, the legendary Roots crew are putting the finishing touches on How I Got Over. It has been revealed that they will be working with John Legend on the LP (whom they are also backing on his next LP), as well as My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James (not to be confused with the capo Jim Jones) on a remake of Monster of Folk’s “Dear God”. While it has been rumored that the group was working with Joanna Newsom, it’s only a royalty sense, as they have sampled her 2004 track, “Book Of Right-On”. How I Got Over is currently holding a TBA date according to Universal Music Distribution, although ?uesto insists it’s dropping in June.
