Beat sounds reminiscent of 50′s “Get Up” with a Swizz Beatz feel….Here, your resident goon remix squad consists of a bunch of New York rappers, plus Bun B who comes in killing shit towards the end…..But, caterpillers In a cocoon house, Cassidy? Grafh + Red Cafe + Maino + Bun B + Cassidy – “Bring [cont.]

Not sure who produced this joint but I wouldn’t be surprised if it dictated the subject matter. When you hear those guitars, you’ll want to reminisce. When you hear the songstress blessing the hook with that Motherly vibe, you’ll want to shed a tear. Lyrically, all three emcees come correct and spit with a lot [cont.]

If there’s a category of music made spefically for the headphones, there’s definitely room for that stadium status. The line up for The Crowd Control Tour (Kidz in the Hall, 88 Keys, Donnis, and Izza Kizza) drop a posse cut before their first spot in New York this weekend. While these verses aren’t their best, [cont.]

Mr. Memphis Ten-A-Key keeps the new music coming, this time using Wayne and Gudda’s “Gunwalk” for the backdrop.

We really think it may be time for fools to give up on the whole “snack metaphor” with your club songs. “Lollipop”, “Milkshake”, “Candy Shop”, “Lemonade”, etc. But I guess this is how you make a club track. But the thing is, those other previously mentioned foods have a sexual connotation to them, even “Lemonade”, [cont.]

This is probably the nuttiest track Jon has released from Crunk Rock thus far. It’s a dirty south knocker fashioned somewhat like “What They Gon’ Do” with thundering basslines and an eerie sample riding behind it. I only wish Jon would share mic time with some other rappers – Young Buck might sound perfect on [cont.]

Hmmmm…..Another one from Inspectah Deck’s Manifesto… Like the track, not what I’d expect from Wu-Tang, but the beat by itself is dope, and Deck and Rae are a natural fit, even though they’ve essentially traded grime for synth. Not sure about the autotuned hook tho…..Hopefully the album can keep the balance…. Inspectah Deck + Raekwon [cont.]

Khaled’s album have always been sort of a collection of hit and miss tracks – usually half-bangers, half-snoozers. So far we like what we’ve heard from Victory, thus far. “Bring The Money Out” is another aggressive club track – don’t think it will eclipse “All We Do Is Win”, but definitely will inspire some dollar [cont.]

Wow, this is real dope. Second entry from Gorillaz’s Plastic Beach hitting March 9th…. If you were around during the 3 Feet High & Rising / De La Soul Is Dead era, this type of behavior from De La Soul is what we would expect – not, uh… “Pawn Star”. Anyway, this is a goofy [cont.]

2010 is the year where rappers and R&B singers make house songs. This is the first single from Estelle’s third LP, All of Me, set for 2010 release. Guetta’s going a little deeper with the production here, with some definite B-More / Afrojack influence in there, while Estelle channels J.J. Fad for her raps and [cont.]

Now that Snoop and Jay Elec’s beats have been beaten to death, it’s about time for everyone to start jumping on Roscoe Dash’s “All The Way Turnt Up”. Plus Fat Joe’s “Ha Ha” is too new. Def Jam singer Pleasure P turns it down a notch with this semi-sweet take on the crunk club banger. [cont.]

Redsmoke / Element 9 artist King Phaze nabs Jadakiss for a hook on this brooding shit-is-realer-than-you-think anthem….Produced by Divine Bars. King Phaze + Jadakiss – “Realer Than You Think” (MP3)

Murs is looking very…. survivalist…. in the above photo. This track is apparently *not* taken from he and 9th’s forthcoming Fornever album….. “These beats are threatenin’, we are quite sincere….” For sure, as 9th killed this beat, as usual….. Cypress Hill has been releasing so many albums, appealing to so many audiences (hip-hop heads, cholos, rap-rock fans) that at this point they have to find a way to appeal to each audience. “Armanda Latina” aims at the Latin fanbase, grabbing both Pitbull and Marc Anthony for this laidback classic rock inspired track…. First offering from the Rebel INS’s forthcoming Manifesto, due March 23rd… Heavy Alchemist track here, and Deck’s really tapping into his Wu roots, with lyrics like “major pain game hunter / summertime shine”. Sounds like the OB4CL2 effect might be contagious….. Inspectah Deck + The Alchemist – “The Champion” (MP3)
